Our owner turned us (Chloe, Nick, Bella, her puppies and myself) over to Harlequin Haven when they were moving out of state so she could care for her ill mother.

Harlequin Haven was already full but still agreed to take us all (4 adults and 5 puppies). Our owner claimed to be a rescue and told HHGDR that we were all dropped off to her when our owners no longer wanted us. Then she was breeding us so we could produce puppies for her to sell. If we did not come to her with AKC papers she was registering us with the CKC so we had papers. Grandma here at HHGDR says that a real rescue does NOT breed rescue dogs to make more homeless dogs. Grandma also says a reputable breeder does NOT breed a dog until it is an adult yet we all were used for breeding before we were even 2 years old! My first litter of puppies was born just weeks after I turned 1 year old!!

None of us were house pets we were just breeding machines, we were all living outside together being bred each heat cycle.

Our owner even bragged about how many puppies I had produced my last litter. She was even letting Nick attempt to breed me the day the rescue came to get us!

Update: February 5: Well my owners did not know me very well the rescue has just had me a couple of weeks and they already figured out I am deaf unlike what my owners told them!! But what did I expect I was an outside dog and it did not matter if I could hear or not!

Please can you spare a few dollars to help the Rescue continue to help me and other Danes like me it would be greatly  appreciated. Without the rescue who knows where we would have ended up!!
