Haven Great Dane Rescue
2003 Annual Report
Harlequin
Haven Great Dane and Saint Bernard Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization dedicated to rescuing Great Danes and Saint Bernards and
placing them in suitable homes. HHGDR is a no-kill rescue, and those
animals which are not adopted will live out their natural lives at the
Rescue.
HHGDR has no paid employees. It is a volunteer organization, and is
solely dependent upon donations for income.
In the year 2003, the Rescue accomplished the following:
Found homes for 70 Great Danes, 3 Saint Bernards, and 5 others.
Volunteers participated in Dane/Saint Awareness events at pets stores in
the Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Akron areas. They also
participated in the Mingle with the Mutts at the Franklin County Animal
Shelter, Rescue Day at the Clark County Fair, Pooch Parades in Dayton,
Worthington, and Cincinnati, and Furry Scurry, and Sisca Walk for Strays
in Dayton, and many more. Volunteers took their dogs to visit at Van
Cleve Elementary School in Troy, OH. A fundraising Committee has been
formed and is busily working on ideas and projects to raise money for
HHGDR. Volunteers have participated in Work/Grooming Days at the
Rescue throughout the year.
