National Homeless Pet Day is August 21, 2010.
National Homeless Pet Day serves the educational purpose of informing the public of the American tragedy of pet overpopulation that overwhelms animal shelters and rescues each year and the solutions to the problem.

Now is the time for animal lovers to come together to light candles to remember the many pets that find themselves homeless each year. As each year passes the number of Great Danes that need our help increases.

Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue would like your help lighting as many candles as possible. Please help us to continue helping the Great Danes and light a candle! Your tax deductible donation of $10 or more lights a candle. Donations can be accepted through PayPal. Be sure to include what text you want included (15 words or less).
