Oliver

I was bred on a farm in Brown County Ohio when I was 4 weeks old our owner tried to find homes for myself and my litter mates. When they couldn't find homes and we turned 6 weeks old we were taken to the Brown County Dog Pound. Luckily Animal Rescue Fund saw us and brought us to HHGDR. I am a great boy just no one wanted me since I am a mix.

I was at the rescue for almost 2 years before I found what I thought would be my forever home. For many years life was great then something happened and my Mom and Dad moved into my Grandfathers house. At first things were not too bad but things quickly went down hill. Grandfathers dog did not like me and well to be honest I did not like him. Finally one day we got into a big fight and in the process of trying to break us up Grandfather got bit pretty badly. I tried to tell Mom and Dad that I did not bite Grandfather but they would not listen to me they listened only to him! Now HOW could I bite Grandfather when I was biting his dumb dog (who I beat up really really well)! I showed that dumb dog I whipped his butt but unfortunately my parents believed that I was some super dog and was able to beat up Grandfather and his dumb dog at the same time!! I did NOT have a single scratch on me!!! The next day I was returned to the rescue. Mom told all kinds of lies about me and my heart was broken!!

But the law being the way it is I did not have a right to a trial and my faith was sealed for me when Grandfather blamed me for biting him!! I even had to be held in isolation like a criminal for 10 days confirming I did not have rabies. After my 10 days were up the Brown County Health Department came to check me and agreed with me that I had NOT been the one to bite my Grandfather that indeed his dog had to bite him since I had NO wounds!! But she said she could do nothing for me that the Clermont County Health Department should have investigated the incidence but since they didn't again my faith was sealed! I am not considered adoptable due to the number of homeless dogs and the bite history.

Lucky for me though my Grandma and Grandpa at the rescue believed in me and decided that I could live my life out as one of their dogs!! I sleep in bed with them every night and I now have my forever home, the one I should never have left!!
