The Perfect Dog

When I was born my breeder said I was perfect.
When I was sold my owner said I was perfect.
When I arrived at the Rescue they said I was perfect.
So please tell me what is a perfect dog doing in Rescue?
Why are there so many perfect dogs that are homeless?

What makes me perfect, yet homeless? Breeders who do not take responsibility for what they bring onto this earth. Owners who don't educate themselves prior to buying that cute cuddly puppy. People make dogs homeless, and only people can make a dog perfect. Why did my owner not care enough to make me perfect?

I was willing to learn, I did everything they had taught me.
Today a family came to the Rescue--they want the perfect dog.
Of course the dog must already be perfect, after all who wants a dog that is not perfect?

So you want the perfect dog?
Are you perfect?
What in life is perfect?
