I was thrown out on a rural county road in Brown County when I was no longer wanted and I desperately needed medical care! The pavement was so hot it burnt the pads of my paws; my skin was so infected that my whole body felt like it was on fire and my joints ached so bad I could barely stand let alone walk! It, however, was my lucky day because the Brown County Humane Society Dog Shelter found me and got me to the shelter where they called Harlequin Haven to come for me!! I was taken immediately to the Mt Orab Veterinarian Clinic to start receiving medical care. The Veterinarian even climbed in the car with me so I would not have to move! Although I have a long road to recovery, I now know that there are kind people in the world that care about me just for being me!

Update 10/8: Just a quick update to let you know that I am still improving. My hair is finally coming back in and I love laying on my soft beds!! I am slowly learning to walk on slick floors as well as being inside. Grandma said I will have to make a trip back to the vet soon to receive a follow up examine.
Update 10/22: Another update, my health continues to improve!! I saw the Vet yesterday and he did x-rays of my back he said that I have several spots with calcium buildup which is causing some of my walking issues. But most of my walking issues is my fear of going into buildings and especially ones with slick floors. It sure was a good thing, the Vets office has lots of doors, so I was able to get around in the building without walking all the way through the building. As for my skin, it is much better but not great so the Vet gave me a very expensive injection which hopefully will help my skin to heal. Well, that is all for now!! I gotta go get a nap before dinner!!
Update 12/19: Just a quick update. I have not received another injection for my skin as it appears to be getting better on it's own. I am still failing at losing weight (dieting sucks) but I am getting around much better. Grandma says it is because I am becoming more comfortable living inside. Well I will give another update after I see the Vet again.
Update 12/29: Well they do not think I need another shot as my skin has cleared up!! I will get new pictures soon!! But the great news is I am NOW ready for adoption!!  Okay who wants an old fat boy that loves to snuggle???
